For so many couples what to include in the wedding ceremony is one of the most stressful decisions to be made. But it should not and need not be a source of stress.

What do you do when you do not follow any certain religion and just want a civil ceremony but want something more than a justice of the peace?

What do you do to please everyone when you come from all different faiths, belief systems, or religious backgrounds? What if you would like some spiritual aspects mixed into your wedding ceremony but without any religious dogmas?

Your ceremony should be a reflection of your collective truths and your vows should be something you can believe in. It makes no sense to go through a ritual if you do not believe in it, so include what touches both your hearts in your ceremony and it will serve you well as an initiation to your married life together.

Most of all , remember that this is your wedding. You are making a commitment to blend your lives together, which means your beliefs and your religion or spirituality as individuals and as a couple. Although you certainly want to keep the peace in your family, the most important people to consider when choosing the words and feel of your ceremonial passage into marriage are the two of YOU. Life ceremonies are in place to make a statement about what it is that you are about to embark on in life. Be sure that both you and your partner are comfortable with the final choices you make for your very important life ceremony.

I am also a Non-Traditional Minister

As a Minister ordained by the Universal Church of Metaphysics, I am not tied to any religious dogmas or rituals. One of the outstanding beliefs in Metaphysics is the acceptance and observance of all beliefs without judgment. Through my schooling, I have studied a broad overview of most major world religions in order to be able to understand where people from most faiths are coming from.

As for me, I’d best describe myself as spiritual but not religious.

I have quite a few wedding ceremonies I use that you may choose from. You are free to make any adjustments to them, or leave them exactly as they are. You are also free to add any other things you would like to your ceremony such as: singing, dancing, music, readings, and just about anything else that’s important for you to include!

We can also work together if you would like to write your own ceremony or your own vows.

I also welcome any non-traditional aspects of your wedding that you would like to include. In fact, the more creative you are and the more that something means to you, the more excited I am to experience it with you!
